Jan. 17th, 2005 03:08 amGoing into a new week. I plan to be something of a "machine". This week is gonna need to be tightly scheduled and managed and carefully timed.
To wit:
This weekend wound up being a birthday-intensive weekend of diversion, largely. Happy birthdays to Brett, Danny, Andrew, Andrew's friend Sarah, Fionna, and Phil. Saturday kicked it off with exhausted work/homework, and then involved a lot of Mario Power Tennis (HIGHLY recommended) and then the aforementioned birthday festivity. I thank Andrew and Danny for their respective instances of hospitality.
Sunday morning was lazy. I On-Demanded "Badder Santa", which was an oddly uplifting story. I barely accomplished anything resembling work, but I did manage to take adequate care of the family puppy dog with whose well-being I've been charged while, this weekend, having been the sole local representative of said family. I also got a nifty new shirt.
So what does this mean for the upcoming week? First, that I hope to get my Python book in the mail within a couple of days. That will give me some of the momentum I need to take a stab at my CSC401 assignment, which looks honestly interesting. The miracle I shall require to have actual interest in my CSC373 assignment, however, is not due in the mail until early next week. But that sort of stuff will likely be discussed more on that other journal of mine.
Hmm... two other songs have played in this excellent sequence and deserve mentioning. They are the Sneaker Pimps' "How Do", and Jamiroquai's "little L". Those etherial siren thingies always kill me. Thanks for your attention.
